
Reacting to claims of partisanship, compulsion, shooting and mercilessness on voters in certain pieces of the nation amid the races, the military said that the warriors sent worked inside the ambit of the law and principles of commitment.
Representative for the security outfit Col. Sagir Musa, stated: "we acted inside the prerequisites of the law, standards of commitment and set of accepted rules."
INEC officers in certain states, including Rivers, Lagos and Delta, had blamed the military for meddling in the races by abusing voters.
Be that as it may, the military representative included that "Our position remains on the decision given by nearby and outside race screens that complimented the Nigerian Army for being proficient, proactive, responsive and fair."
